Make a meaningful impact by providing dedicated 1:1 care to a student with medical needs in an elementary school setting during the 20252026 school year. This full-time position involves supporting a student throughout the school day, ensuring health and safety while fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

Location: Hickory, NC
Duration: School Year 20252026 (Contract)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized 1:1 nursing assistance to a student with complex medical needs
• Monitor and document oxygen levels consistently throughout the school day
• Perform tube feedings as outlined in the student's care plan
• Collaborate closely with the onsite school nurse, who manages oxygen administration
• Maintain a calm, reassuring presence to promote the students comfort and security
• Work alongside educational staff to support the student within the classroom

Qualifications:

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA-2) certification required
• Proven experience with tube feeding and oxygen monitoring preferred
• Prior school-based experience is a valuable asset but not mandatory
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively
• Comfortable and adaptable in a classroom and educational environment
