Job Description

A full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA 2) opportunity is available to provide dedicated 1:1 care to a student with complex medical needs during the 202526 school year at an elementary school in Statesville, NC. This contract position supports the student throughout the school day, working closely with educational and medical staff to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized 1:1 care to a student with medical needs, ensuring their well-being and comfort throughout the school day
• Monitor and document oxygen saturation levels as part of daily health tracking
• Perform tube feedings according to the students prescribed care plan
• Collaborate directly with the on-site school nurse, who manages oxygen administration
• Maintain a calm, supportive presence to foster the students confidence and security in the classroom setting

Qualifications:

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA 2) certification is required
• Previous experience with tube feeding and oxygen monitoring is strongly preferred
• Experience in school-based healthcare settings is an advantage but not mandatory
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills essential for working effectively alongside teachers and school staff
• Comfort working within a classroom environment while providing medical assistance

Location: Statesville, North Carolina
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
Duration: School Year 20252026 (Contract)
Start Date: August 2025
