Adjunct Faculty, Exercise Science
Endicott College is located on the beautiful North Shore of Beverly Ma. Endicott's community is committed to ensuring the success of each student by providing top level learning experiences with expert faculty in the classroom as well as through our leading internship model.
The Exercise Science program within the School of Sport Science is seeking adjunct faculty for the following courses for the Spring 2025 semester (January 21-May 9). These are in-person classes and take place on campus in Beverly.
EX 216 - Exercise Physiology Lab (Mondays & Wednesdays, 10-11:50)
An examination of various physiological processes and the effect acute exercise bouts, long term conditioning, and ergogenic aids have on them. Current research in exercise science will be relied upon heavily to help students keep abreast of this ever-changing field.
EX 375 - Exercise for Special Populations (Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9-9:50)
This course provides practical information on exercise for persons with a wide range of special diseases and disabilities. An overview of each unique physiology, effects of the condition on the exercise response, effects of exercise training on the condition, and recommendations for exercise testing and programming are presented in a selected topics format. Special populations include children, youth, older adults, and women; and individuals with coronary heart disease, obesity, diabetes, asthma, or pulmonary disease.
Faculty hired to teach these courses will be required to:
- Fulfill the learning outcomes according to the existing syllabus, with flexibility in content and delivery as appropriate.
- Abide by Endicott's academic policies
- Use Canvas as the course's learning management system.
- Meet deadlines for roster verification and submission of grades.
- Communicate with the Faculty Lead for Exercise Science if and when issues arise concerning the teaching of the courses.
- Meet with students if they request assistance or need clarification for any course-related matter.
- Use their Endicott email address when communicating with students.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Master's degree is required. Ph.D. preferred.
- College level teaching experience is strongly preferred.
