Salary: $31 - $42 per hour A bit about us: We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to support the operation and maintenance of industrial refrigeration systems in a fast-paced food production or cold storage environment. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in ammonia (NH3) systems, preventative maintenance procedures, and process safety standards. Why join us? Competitive hourly pay based on experience Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k) PTO, paid holidays, and shift differentials where applicable Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Clean, safe, and team-oriented work environment Job Details Key Responsibilities: Operate, inspect, and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, condensers, pumps, valves, and piping Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and routine maintenance on refrigeration, HVAC, and auxiliary systems (e.g., boilers, air compressors) Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with PSM, RMP, and OSHA safety regulations Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate service records Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and address refrigeration issues in real time Participate in safety training, audits, and emergency response procedures Requirements: 2+ years of industrial ammonia refrigeration experience RETA CARO or CIRO certification (or the ability and willingness to obtain) Familiarity with PSM/RMP compliance and safe work practices related to ammonia systems Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills Ability to interpret technical schematics, manuals, and blueprints Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends and on-call rotations Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of PLCs and controls systems Experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Background in electrical or HVAC systems is a plus Interested in hearing more?
