Overview: This individual will be working between two teams that have historically been java based but lately, Python work been popping up between both teams. Right now, they have a seasoned developer helping out between both teams so they would like to bring someone in asap. Bala's team has the most immediate need. Bala's Team: Online Learning Management Application: this is an coursework filtered through canvas)This involved various integrations through PeopleSoft (and apps like that) which calls for a high level of data flow. The developers need assistance with this. Facility Facing Application. An application that helps with managing multiple businesses - and in this case, multiple universities. This individual will also support this app which includes keeping up with incoming data from various sources. Team consists of multiple BA's, Project Manager, Java Developers and an Offshore team. Will be about 70% of the time. Connie's Team: Course tool suit content management . Built a New Application on AWS last year that captures data for grading. Possibly moving which could require integration to build out connections and manipulate data. Team consists of 4 developers, offshore QA, BA, & scrum master. Development Methodology: Connie's team is waterfall, Bala is agile. Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools): Python (Team is using a mix of 3.6 and 3.1) TDD Basic knowledge of react or vue Postgres and/or Oracle If they have SQL that is ok but they need to have Postgres and/or Oracle with it. Should have experience supporting multiple teams or projects. Java Soft skills: Must be driven, team player, ability to speak to skills and depth of tools / technology, utility player.
