This person is responsible for safe delivery and application of PHC services, including, but not limited to defensive driving of a PHC vehicle, monitoring pests, application of pesticides, and communicating with customers. The PHC Specialist is under direct supervision of our Tree Division Manager.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in the plant health care industry as well as a passion for tree and shrub care
• The ability to identify and differentiate plant species, diagnose and treat insect and disease problems. specific to individual plants. A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, a willingness to expand your knowledge, work independently, and excellent customer service skills are also required.
• The ability to track and order inventory
• Good record keeping skills
• 1 year of applicable experience in the Plant Health Care field.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Good physical condition with the ability to work in all weather conditions
• Excellent verbal, written, technological and communication skills
• Valid Massachusetts core pesticide license preferred
• Arborist certification preferred but not mandatory

Position Details:

• Compensation: $28-35/hr depending on qualifications
• Full-Time. Year-round position if interested in tree care in addition to the PHC role
• Work Location: 742 Nathan Ellis Highway, East Falmouth
