The Area Manager role aims to increase market share, control fleet, surpass profitability targets, achieve customer service goals, and develop staff. This position is responsible for customer and employee relations across Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty brands. Key responsibilities include: Achieving operational, revenue, and financial goals as outlined in the annual Business Plan. Ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Developing and executing local sales and marketing strategies. Training and developing all location employees. Managing vehicle inventory efficiently and effectively. Fostering an 'Ownership' culture focused on sales and customer service. Encouraging employee development and maintaining effective staffing. Achieving fleet utilization and out-of-service targets. Handling administrative duties, controls, and reporting. Providing performance feedback to employees regularly. Conducting sales calls to develop staff, increase market penetration, and boost revenue. Ensuring adherence to all corporate policies and procedures. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. At least five (5) years of management experience in a customer-focused environment preferred. Experience in the car rental industry is a plus. Strong collaboration, influence, and relationship-building skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
