The Mechanical Assembler position requires the assembly of power distribution equipment including prefabbed sheet metal, busbars, and electronic components using the tooling provided. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under general supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Reports to Assembly lead.

• Assembles major structures and subassemblies.
\n
• Entails mechanical tasks using necessary tools and equipment to complete the assembly project. Including but not limited to hand tools, power tools, torque drivers, and inspection tools.
\n
• Verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established control procedures.
\n
• Drive a forklift and operate overhead cranes. Training will be provided.
\n
• Load/unload trucks.
\n
• Assist with packaging finished goods as needed.
\n
• Perform other tasks as needed, to complete an assembly project.
\n

\n
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
\n
• Mechanical aptitude and precise attention to detail are required.
\n
• Must observe all safety rules and regulations.
\n
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to successfully handle a multi-tasked role in an organized fashion.
\n
• Basic computer skills. Capable of working with all Microsoft Office and custom applications used for assembly.
\n
• Strong time management and organization skills. Must be able to work independently and successfully complete multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment.
\n
• May need to move to other departments as demand shifts. Cross-training will be provided.
\n
• Must be able to take tasks from Team Lead as directed.
\n
• Must be able to work off, read, and interpret mechanical drawings and basic schematics.
