Assistant Commercial Project Manager

Construction Industry

Up to $75,000k (DOE)

Permanent Opportunity!

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Westerville, Ohio

The Assistant Commercial Project Manager is an early-career position with robust growth opportunity! This position will work with multiple account managers, estimators, office managers, and superintendents as needed across multiple projects. Ultimately responsible for document control, including correspondence with owner/architects, subcontractors, and field associates. They will also assist in managing projects and developing estimates.

What you’ll be doing:

• Strict adherence to company safety practices and procedures
• Contacting subcontractors and vendors during the bid process
• Project scope of work development
• Project planning and implementation of activities
• Document management and logging including safety documentation, submittals, drawing logs, RFIs, transmittals, close-out documents, and meeting minutes
• Subcontractor and superintendent coordination
• Travel to job sites as required by AM and/or superintendents, including possibly out-of-state

Who we’re looking for:

• At least 1-2 years of experience with commercial construction is required (Co-ops can count toward this experience)
• An associate degree or higher education in a construction or engineering-related field is required
• Strong computer and smart-phone skills, especially in Microsoft Office
• Ability to react quickly to requests of customers and superintendents
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to function in a remote environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn is essential
