* Assists to develop and implement a comprehensive public relations program. Promotes the athletic program, teams, and contests.* May assist in all athletic special events, fundraising, promotions and other activities related to athletics.* May help develop and execute all student-athlete leadership initiatives and development efforts. Oversight of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and mentor programs.* With the help of the Academic Advisors, oversee NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills program.* **Education –** Bachelor’s degree in sports journalism, sports administration, public relations, or related field.* **Experience –** Three years of related experience.* Word processing and spreadsheet applications.* Demonstrated strong writing and verbal skills.* Web design and basic computer application experience.* Ability to perform under deadlines.* Be reliable to the organization.* Present information clearly and concisely.* Multitask and work cooperatively with others.* Communicate effectively with all segments of the campus community.* Ability to function under adverse and stressful conditions.* Strong knowledge of statistical software (Genius, Stat Crew, PrestoSports, etc.)* Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)* Familiarity with live-streaming software (Production Truck, Wirecast, etc.)* Must possess commitment and capabilities to abide by NCAA by laws and Lone Star Conference regulations.**Physical Requirements –** General Office Environment**INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANT:** During the application process you have only one opportunity to enter the requested information, upload documents and Submit the application. **You will not be able to make changes or add additional documents once you “Submit” the application materials**.
