Overview

Zen Educate is seeking part-time Teacher Aides/Assistants to support licensed teachers in K-12 classrooms. In this flexible role, you’ll help with daily classroom activities, material preparation, and student engagement—working in both one-on-one and small group settings. • Assist licensed staff in implementing academic adaptations and individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Work individually or in small groups to support students’ self-care and social/behavioral needs.
• Help maintain a safe, engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Provide timely support to students in crisis situations.
• Utilize various learning methods to tailor support to each student’s needs.

• Education:
• 60 college credits or higher, OR one of the following:
• A passing score on the Paraeducator Assessment (65%+ on the Instructional Support test and 70%+ on the Knowledge and Application test)
• A passing score on the Paraprofessional Assessment (combined score of 460 or above)
• Language & Authorization:
• Professional proficiency in English
• U.S. Work Authorization (no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance)
• Experience:
• At least 1-year experience working with children in any structured setting (e.g., school, daycare, volunteer program)

• ParaPro Certification (upskilling options provided on a case-by-case basis for candidates without the standard educational background)
• Experience working in special education settings or familiarity with IEPs
• Experience as a Behavioral Technician or PCA is a plus

• Pay: $18 - $22 per hour, paid weekly
• Schedule: Part-time, flexible schedule between 7:30 am and 3:00/4:30 pm (Monday to Friday, no weekend work)
