What To Expect Tesla is seeking an Audio DSP Algorithms Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing audio algorithms. The ideal candidate should have a strong mathematical background in signal processing and a good understanding of embedded systems design. What You'll Do Develop audio signal processing for Tesla vehicles, including acoustic rendering, speech enhancement, and acoustic detection. Define algorithm blocks and their integration into larger systems. Conduct studies for algorithm development, tuning, and validation. Prototype algorithms in MATLAB/Python. Implement algorithms in C/C++ for device deployment. Validate algorithms and set up validation scripts. Define validation test plans for various edge cases to ensure quality. Troubleshoot performance issues across the acoustic, electronic, and software stack. Document system and component requirements, considering acoustic, hardware, and software dependencies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for timely implementation of dependencies. What You'll Bring 2+ years of experience in embedded C/C++ programming, including board bring-up, profiling, and testing. 2+ years of experience with MATLAB or Python for scientific and data analysis tasks. Experience with developing algorithms like beamforming, Wiener filters, blind source separation, echo cancellation, Kalman filters, or adaptive filters on embedded platforms. Strong mathematical skills in linear algebra, calculus, and optimization. Additional experience with stochastic signal processing, 3D sound, HRTFs, dereverberation, machine learning, or sound event detection is a plus. Understanding of time/frequency duality and implementation details for fixed/floating point architectures. Solid acoustics intuition. Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to fast-paced environments.
