Job Summary:
Embassy Suites Jacksonville is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleanliness and efficiency of our hotel’s housekeeping operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 35-45 housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This position requires availability on weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of 35-45 housekeeping employees, including room attendants and house persons.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff to maintain high service standards.
  • Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hotel standards.
  • Develop and implement cleaning procedures and protocols to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate work schedules and assignments to ensure adequate coverage and workload balance.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members to foster a productive and motivated work environment.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance and front office teams to address guest concerns and housekeeping-related issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as hotel policies and procedures.
  • Assist with resolving guest complaints related to housekeeping in a professional and timely manner.
  • Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for operational improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of housekeeping management experience, preferably in a hotel environment.
  • MUST be bilingual, preferably Spanish speaking. (This is requirement) 
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and guests.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping best practices and safety procedures.
