Purpose/Objective:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Business Continuity Manager to join our team. This role will focus on the development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise-wide contingency plans and business continuity strategies to ensure the continuity of critical operations in the face of any type of disruption. As a thought leader in business continuity, you will ensure a comprehensive, risk-based approach to preparing our organization to effectively respond to, recover from, and continue operations through any disruption.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the development and execution of Business Continuity Plans for business units and company-wide strategies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and ISO standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage a structured framework for business impact analysis/data collection, analysis, and BCP updates.
  • Develop and implement tests, training and exercises to ensure plans remain effective and current and to pressure test strategies and vulnerabilities. Analyze testing results and ensure business units work towards remediating exceptions and incorporate lessons learned. Ensure testing activities are documented.
  • Identify and assist business units to identify, mitigate and manage business continuity risks, including single points of failure that could cause an extended disruption.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on business continuity, helping drive continuous improvements to processes and plans to ensure they are practical, realistic, and relevant.
  • Collaborate closely with business units, senior management, and other key stakeholders including IT and Cyber Security to ensure a cohesive and risk-based approach to continuity planning across the organization.
  • Assist with Vendor Risk Management and conduct third-party business continuity risk assessments to help identify vulnerabilities and across vendors, suppliers, contractors, etc.
  • Must be comfortable working with different methods for data collection, analysis and plan development including Business Continuity Management tools and software.
  • Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with internal teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and seamless execution of continuity strategies.
  • Assist with preparing and delivering periodic presentations on status, identified risks, and results of testing, etc.
  • Work closely with a small team to develop and continually improve business continuity and operational resiliency across the organization.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in business continuity management; attend educational workshops; review professional publications; and establish personal networks. Stay abreast of compliance with regulatory guidelines and requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and implement Business impact analyses (BIA) and Business Continuity Plans development and update cycle
  • Develop and deliver tests, training and exercises and follow up activities for continual improvement
  • Conduct third-part risk assessments and help identify, track and rate risks to work towards enterprise risk management
  • Contribute to drafting/reviewing other continuity plans including crisis communication plans, continuity plans, additional continuity related documents, etc.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or higher/similar certification required
  • Experience performing Business Continuity Planning and management for large companies required
  • Experience implementing ISO 22301 standards or similar industry standards required
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and utilize data to guide decision making required
  • Experienced developing presentations and presenting to senior level executives/leadership required
  • Experience developing relevant tests, training and exercises (TT&E) and following TTE life cycle required
  • Solid understanding of IT and the interdependencies between business operations and IT continuity/recovery required
  • Experience utilizing Business Continuity Management Program online tools and solutions required
  • Previous experience interacting with auditors/regulators preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver quality work in a timely fashion in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's Degree required

Salary/ Wage Range
$82,800.00 - $121,600.00 / year

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
