As a Business Insurance Agent - Mid-level , you will thrive in an inbound sales environment, advising business owners on insurance and risk management. You’ll utilize a comprehensive suite of Commercial Insurance Products tailored to meet each member and non-member’s unique risk profile.
With your expertise in the insurance marketplace and strong relationships with underwriters, you’ll place coverage that protects our members’ businesses. Expect to handle an average of 7-10 incoming calls daily , collaborating with various insurance carriers and following up with customers.
We provide 13-15 weeks of training to ensure you’re well-equipped to support our members independently. Training hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CT (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM ET). Work hours: Monday - Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM CT (10:30 AM - 7:00 PM ET).
This position offers the flexibility to work remotely within the continental U.S., with occasional business travel. It’s a full-time, hourly, non-commission role.
Utilize a consultative approach to assess customer needs, build rapport, and provide tailored solutions from our diverse product offerings.
Foster relationships with members, non-members, and insurance carriers, effectively communicating solutions.
Apply compliance knowledge and Agency Management Systems to minimize Errors & Omissions (E&O) exposure.
Classify businesses and deliver accurate risk management solutions, leveraging your understanding of B2B sales cycles.
Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to enhance your technical and financial knowledge.
Operate confidently with Agency Management Systems/CRM and multiple carrier platforms to select the best products.
Calculate Insurance to Value (ITV) for various property types, ensuring accurate replacement values.
Provide a concierge-level service for business owners with complex accounts, understanding their unique risk profiles.
Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities in line with compliance policies.
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
2 years of insurance sales and service experience, including 1 year in a Commercial Insurance agency or broker setting.
Valid Property and Casualty insurance license for your home state, or the ability to obtain it within 90 days.
Experience with High Net Worth/Private Clients and handling sensitive information.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Successful completion of a job-related assessment may be required.
4+ years of Commercial Lines Insurance experience writing new business (excluding renewals/servicing).
4+ years of experience quoting and binding directly with insured clients.
Familiarity with Agency Management Systems and/or Salesforce.
Experience in a Commercial Lines multiple carrier environment.
Experience writing Commercial Lines across multiple states.
Experience in a call center environment.
Active P&C General Lines License for your home state.
Compensation Range: The salary for this position is between $54,550.00 - $97,750.00 .
