Contract-based job description:
Provide specialized expertise on designing, operating, and optimizing a 60 acre greenhouse facility for a commercial cannabis cultivation. The consultant will bridge traditional agriculture with the unique needs and strict regulations of the cannabis industry, offering guidance to maximize yield, quality, and profitability.

Facility Design & Engineering:
Consultants assist in the initial design and engineering of commercial greenhouses, ensuring the structure and mechanical systems create a secure and tightly controlled environment for optimal plant growth. This includes planning for security, architectural support, and full MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) engineering.
Cultivation & Operations:
Expert will provide guidance on all phases of cultivation, from nursery propagation to harvest. This involves:
* Climate Control: Advising on advanced technologies and systems for automated irrigation, climate control, and lighting to ensure the ideal temperature range (typically 65-80°F or 18-26°C) and light spectrum for healthy growth.
* Pest Management (IPM): Developing and implementing Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies, utilizing biocontrols and organic methods to ensure clean, pesticide-free products.
*Nutrient Management: Recommending eco-friendly fertilizers and bespoke nutrient plans tailored to specific plant needs.
* SOP Development & Staff Training: Creating detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training staff on best practices to ensure consistent results and operational efficiency.
Licensing & Compliance: Navigating the complex and evolving legal landscape of the cannabis industry is a critical service. Consultants help clients:
License Applications: Optimize applications to increase the chances of winning state-permitted cultivation licenses.
* Regulatory Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with all local and national laws, including reporting requirements (like the METRC tracking system, if applicable by state).
* Audits: Perform compliance audits to help businesses avoid costly legal issues and maintain a positive standing with regulatory bodies.
