Requirements:

Summary:Looking for local delivery drivers for our operations in Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. Would be based at a single location.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Bilingual is a plus.
• 3+ years of related experience or training preferred, not required
• Class A or B driver's license with airbrakes (or ability to add airbrakes)
• Experience operating truck-mounted forklifts (piggyback forklift)
• Current DOT medical card (or ability to obtain one)
• No DUI's within the last 5 years
• Minimal moving violations
• Good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain respectful relationships with other staff and customers
• Interpreting written information such as safety rules, sales tickets, and operating instructions

Responsibilities:

• Safely drive flatbed truck
• Show up on time for work and to the job site
• Deliver our product to customers
• Unload product according to customer direction
• Maintain clean truck
• Maintain clean driving record
• Friendly, cooperative interactions with coworkers and customers
• Communicate location and status to dispatcher

Experience:

• Driving: 3+year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Class A or B License (Required; B-preferred)
• CDL (Required)
• DOT Medical card (valid for at least one year before its expiration date.)

• Meet or exceed the minimum employment standards established by the Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation, (FMCSR), Code of Federal Regulation Title 49;
• Be the best-qualified individual from the pool of remaining candidates completing the position;
• Pass to the satisfaction of Ernest Maier Inc., a road test if applying to be a CDL driver.
