What We're Looking For:

As a Chemical Process Engineer at Barge Design Solutions , you will play a key role in shaping innovative, high-impact solutions across a variety of industrial and infrastructure projects. In this position, you'll lead and contribute to significant projects within your area of expertise, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable process designs. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who thrives on solving complex challenges and is passionate about making a tangible difference in the industries we serve.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and documenting technical solutions for a specific discipline or market practice area.
• Managing and maintaining project documentation with meticulous attention to detail.
• Providing technical leadership on projects and supporting the technical lead and project managers as a technical advisor on potential issues, participates in the research and development of solutions to engineering and other technical challenges.
• Reviewing project documents for conformity and ensuring quality.
• Mentoring junior engineers and reviewing their work for quality purposes.
• Participating in complex technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.
• Developing strong relationships with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and other collaborators.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from an accredited program.
• 3-5 years of engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred.
• Proficiency in Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Simulations (ChemCAD/ASPEN), Heat and Material Balance (HMB), Physical/Chemical Property Assessment, Process Safety Management (PSM), Equipment Specifications - Data Sheets, Hydraulic Pump Calculations, Air Emission and Waste Generation Estimates, and Safety Relief Device and Vent Piping Calculations
