Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This travel assignment is based in a cancer center infusion pharmacy environment, and we're seeking a skilled pharmacy technician with solid experience in sterile poundingparticularly in chemotherapy admixture. The role supports a regional network of oncology infusion sites, with a strong emphasis on preparing hazardous medications in a cleanroom setting. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in oncology pharmacy practices and demonstrate a thorough understanding of USP <797> and <800> pliance standards.
Job Title: Travel Pharmacy Technician Oncology InfusionKey Responsibilities:
Prepare and pound IV admixtures, including hazardous chemotherapy medications
Maintain cleanroom standards and aseptic technique at all times
Accurately label and organize prepared medications for pharmacist verification
Assist with inventory control, equipment maintenance, and documentation
Float between multiple pharmacy sites within a 20-mile radius (transportation required)
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of recent IV admixture experience in an infusion or hospital pharmacy
Strong knowledge of USP <797> and <800> standards
PTCB certification highly preferred
NY pharmacy technician license NOT required
Must have reliable transportation and flexibility to float between sites
