About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to play a pivotal role in the establishment of a dedicated Holocaust education museum in New England. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic fundraising initiatives to support the museum's mission. This includes cultivating and soliciting major gifts, overseeing annual giving programs, and managing donor relations. The CAO will work closely with the executive team to ensure that the museum's financial goals are met and that the advancement efforts align with the organization's values and objectives. The ideal candidate for the CAO position at the company's Holocaust education museum will have a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising, with a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape. A background in educational or cultural institutions is preferred, and experience in capital campaigns and grant writing is a plus. The role requires a visionary leader with excellent communication skills, the ability to engage a diverse range of stakeholders, and a passion for the museum's mission. A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree in a related field is a plus. The CAO will be a key member of the leadership team, and as such, must be a strategic thinker, a team player, and a champion of the values of the organization.
