POSITION SUMMARY:

The Coat Check Attendant is required to provide speedy and accurate service to our guests when handling their personal belongings in a fast paced pool / nightclub environment. The coat check attendant is friendly while dealing with guests, answers questions and tenders checks in a timely, accurate and efficient manner in a high volume pool / night club atmosphere. Works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior guest service at all times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Guest Service / Communications




  • Hangs and organizes coats and other guest belongings within the designated order system




  • Records and maintains guests checked-in belongings through a ticketing system




  • Responsible for control of coat check tickets and proper care and custody of guest garments




  • Returns personal belongings to guests in an orderly and efficient manner




  • Respond to Guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner




  • Refers all unusual requests to Manager for proper handling




  • Processes all payments including room charges, cash, credit card, comps etc




  • Anticipate Guest needs




  • Adhere to all COMPANY Standard Operating Procedures




  • Maintain all COMPANY Sequence of Service Standards




  • Greet all Guests promptly, with a friendly and upbeat attitude




  • Provide information to Guests regarding our venues, menus and pricing




  • Recognize and cultivate regular Guests and repeat business

  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area throughout shift




  • Ability to communicate in English with Guests and co-workers




  • Provide Guests with information and directions

CASH HANDLING



  • Prepare Guest checks through POS terminal functions




  • Process Guest payment by cash, credit card, venue comps and all other appropriate tender types




  • Obtain and return issued bank each day, count the bank and ensure it balances




  • Prepare the proper reporting forms for the day with name, date, shift and outlet




  • Stock Coat Check Attendant station with proper supplies




  • Responsible for following proper check out procedures

MARKETING / PROMOTIONS



  • Focuses on the development of a personal clientele list




  • Markets HK Group venues on personal viral social media




  • Marketing and promoting venue specific events both on property

CLEANLINESS



  • Keep area clean and free of debris throughout shift




  • Keep area organized




  • Ensure nightly/weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completed




  • Record and report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to a manager immediately

RESPONSIBILITIES / TEAMWORK / DEPARTMENT



  • Related duties as assigned based on extensive experience working in a nightclub and /or entertainment venue.




  • Assist all other team members as needed




  • Create and maintain a SENSE OF URGENCY




  • Appear in uniform for all shifts and promotional activities at scheduled time




  • Performs other job related duties as assigned




  • Present an alluring and attractive image to further the overall theme of the club




  • Inform management of any complaint, comments or incident




  • Ability to create and maintain service rapport through Company Corporate philosophy



EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:



  • High School Diploma Required or equivalent




  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States




  • 0-3 years of experience in hospitality working in a high volume restaurant




  • 21+ years of age




  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards




  • Possession of/or ability to possess a valid NV Alcohol awareness card and NV Health Card



WORKING KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bar operations




  • Liquor, beer, wine and cigar brand names




  • High volume pool club operations




  • Opening and closing duties




  • Guest relations




  • Sanitation and safety




  • POS equipment




  • Entry level of high volume nightclub/lounge/restaurant/pool operations
