Position Requirements:
· 3+ years of experience estimating landscape or building construction
· Degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Mathematics, or related field
· Ability to assess grades, read plans, communicate with clients, and problem solve
· Ability to manage the high stress of tight deadlines and the major responsibility of accurately estimating the budget for a project
· Keen analytical skills
· Knowledgeable in LMN (Landscape Management Network) software preferred
· Drug Free
Position Responsibilities:
The Commercial Project Estimator will serve a vital role in the growth of commercial construction for DreamScapes Landscaping & Design. This professional will be responsible for seeking out projects to bid through various sources such as the MBEX and directly with builders, construction managers, architects, etc. The estimator will be responsible for attending pre-bid meetings and assessing the site conditions of potential projects prior to bidding. The estimator will then be responsible for accurately calculating the total costs associated with construction projects and creating an estimate using LMN software. The estimator may also review bids offered by subcontractors in order to choose the most cost effective options.
