Commercial Roofing Estimator Location: Baton Rouge, LA or Can be Remote
Salary: Up to $100k
Our Client Established in 1978, our client is a leader in the commercial roofing industry. They are recognized for their commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, and provide services in new construction, re-roofs, and preventative maintenance across multiple states.
Responsibilities:
Must have a strong knowledge of the Edge software system. - Review and interpret project blueprints and specifications to estimate materials, labor, and equipment costs accurately.
- Conduct site visits to assess roofing projects, gathering data to evaluate factors that could impact estimates.
- Prepare detailed cost analyses for projects, including breakdowns of material costs, labor, transportation, and potential risks.
- Use specialized software and tools for precise calculations and project proposals.
- Develop clear and comprehensive proposal documents that detail the scope of work, projected costs, timeline, and terms.
- Ensure all proposals meet industry standards and legal requirements.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients during the estimation process, ensuring effective communication and timely updates.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, responding promptly to inquiries and concerns.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and contractors to secure favorable outcomes.
- Finalize agreements, clarifying project scope and expectations to all parties.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to align estimates with project plans.
- Provide a detailed project handoff once a proposal is accepted, facilitating a smooth transition to execution.
- Enhance customer satisfaction by addressing potential issues promptly and maintaining transparency.
- Perform quality checks on estimates to ensure accuracy and adherence to compliance standards.
Requirements: - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically in commercial roofing or a closely related field.
- Proven track record of creating accurate and competitive estimates for large-scale roofing projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Comprehensive understanding of roofing systems, materials, construction processes, and contract management.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements related to commercial roofing.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to effectively negotiate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Experience in managing client relationships and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Ability to handle client inquiries professionally and provide solutions that meet their needs.
