THIS POSITION REPORTS TO: Executive Director

OBJECTIVE:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Concierge is responsible for handling a variety of administrative duties, greeting visitors, answering phones, relaying messages and is often the customers first contact with the Community. It is important that the Concierge always provides excellent customer service and promotes the positive image of the Community through personal presentation and demeanor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Arrives to work on time and fully prepared for his / her shift.

  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance keeping the front entrance, lobby, and reception areas clean and organized.

  • Ensuring all people who come in contact are welcomed warmly to the Community by standing to greet and offering any assistance needed.

  • Answering telephones within 3 rings, always using a professional and courteous voice followed by the designated script.

  • Transferring incoming calls or taking and delivering appropriate messages.

  • Monitor all visitors, requesting them to sign in and out of the logbook, reporting suspicious persons or activity immediately to the Executive Director.

  • Sort and distribute incoming mail.

  • Accept and report Resident’s special requests.

  • Maintain Community’s lost and found.

  • Order and replenish administrative supplies as necessary.

  • Follow all safety standards when operating office equipment.

  • Support department heads and Executive Directors in administrative functions.

  • Maintain and check off meal attendance tracking form, alerting staff of needed room services or Residents who have not yet attended meals.

  • Display a positive and professional image through actions and dress in accordance with the Regency Palms Senior Living Principles and Core values.

  • Encourage teamwork through open communication with team members.

  • Perform other duties as consistent with the position and assigned by the Executive Director

QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Must be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.

  • Good Physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than (6) months prior to or (7) days following employment. This certification must verify that the Housekeeper has no communicable diseases, open lesions, or any other health problem, which could interfere with an individual's job performance. Grandfathered employees are exempt from this requirement.

  • Must be criminally cleared by DOJ and FBI via the Live-Scan process prior to employment. Grandfathered employees are exempt from this requirement.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to speak, write and read English.

  • Ability to operate computer, necessary software programs (MS Word, email, excel), scanners, copiers, and fax machines.

  • Ability to always be professional with other team members, Residents, family members, and visitors.

  • Follow all grooming and dress standards to present the best image.

  • Maintain a compassionate and caring attitude toward the Residents.

  • Must have a current Adult First Aid card at time of employment and maintain throughout the length of employment.

  • Reliable transportation and punctuality are absolutely mandatory.

  • In-depth orientation to the facility required, including familiarity with its policies and procedures, physical plant and the Residents.

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day and throughout the Community.

  • Must be able to push a Resident safely in their wheelchairs as needed.

In a typical (8) hour shift, the Concierge will routinely sit for long periods at a time, stoop, carry, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, climb, grip, reach, push and pull. The Concierge will also occasionally be required to lift, overhead, waist high and floor level. The Concierge will routinely lift up to 25lbs.

The above list is not intended to be all-inclusive and at times the employee may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or their designated supervisors.

Part Time/Weekends. Sunday & Monday 9AM to 5:30PM. Possibility of adding on a few more days to shift or willing to work in other departments.
