Job Description

Our commercial general contractor client was just awarded a "Top Place To Work" in 2025. Immediate opening for an experienced construction superintendent to oversee commercial ground-up construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing the day-to-day field operations of new commercial builds, including site logistics, subcontractor coordination, and quality/safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for commercial ground-up projects.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and laborers.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules, tracking progress to meet project deadlines.
  • Conduct regular site meetings and provide updates to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Oversee site safety, ensuring all personnel comply with OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Perform daily site inspections to maintain quality control and resolve field issues.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and city officials.
  • Maintain accurate site documentation including daily reports, RFIs, and change orders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of superintendent experience in commercial ground-up construction (retail, office, healthcare, education, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in project management software, Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary ranging from $110K - $150K
  • Vehicle allowance of $800+ / month
