PRIMARY PURPOSE : Using specialized equipment thoroughly wash seating areas, stands, stairs, ramps and concourse in preparation for all games and special events.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: - Ability and willingness to learn and operate all pressure washing equipment including but not limited to: KEW's and Hotsy machines
- Lift and transport pressure washers and related hoses and tubing (up to 50 lbs)
- Push fully equipped pressure washer (approx. 200 lbs.) to assigned work area
- Read and understand cleaning chemical product use instructions
- Work with a team to move furniture and other equipment
- Responsible for pressure washing and removing debris from all seating bowls, stairs, walls, ramps, railings, balconies, vomitories, and concourses, and maintenance of all drains
- Document all unusual or unique occurrences, maintenance, and safety issues immediately to Supervisor in a timely manner
- Promptly monitor all public areas of the ballpark, reporting any matter that requires medical, security, custodial or maintenance personnel using means and methods provided in handbook, in a timely manner, continue to monitor to ensure satisfactory resolution
- Obtain, comprehend and disseminate instructions and vital information especially in the event of emergencies
- Ability to perform other work related duties, as assigned by Supervisor or Management team
ROLE REQUIREMENTS: - Must be 18 years of age
- Required to become member of Service Employees International Union, SEIU 1
- Valid driver's license (Required for select positions)
- Professionally interact with all guests and employees in a clear and effective manner.
- Actively engage and listen to all guests and professionally answer any questions or concerns in a timely manner
- Trustworthy and dependable
- Ability to hear, comprehend and disseminate instructions and vital information especially in the event of emergencies
- Basic computer operating skills (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Internet explorer, ABI, Ultipro)
- Capability to lift and move tools, boxes, etc., with a weight range of approximately 25-50 lbs., dependent on the specific role
DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS: - Familiarize yourself with and comprehend the relevant policies and procedures of the Ballpark Services department and the Cleveland Guardians Organization
- Develop a clear understanding of various departments within the organization and the specific responsibilities of staff members in the department
- Effectively monitor and implement policies and procedures, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with guests
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of all areas within the ballpark to provide accurate directions and assistance to guests
- Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with the Employee Handbook and our uniform requirement
AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS: - Available to work the vast majority of all home games during the months of April through October
- Ability to work entire assigned shift; this includes but not limited to pre-events, post-events, and rain delays; should not depart until Supervisor checks work area
- Attend all required trainings and daily briefings
- Typical Work Hours (subject to change depending on game/gate times):
- Non-game days: 7:00am start
- Night Games: 5:00am start
- Day Games: 4:00am start
- Daily operating hours can range from 4-8 hours per day
- Breaks and lunches to be determined by supervisor; there are no breaks for 4-hour shifts
- Work days are determined by the Cleveland Guardians baseball schedule and other ballpark events
ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: - Reads, speaks, comprehends, and communicates English effectively in all communications.
- Represents the Cleveland Guardians in a positive fashion to all business partners and the general public.
- Ability to develop and maintain successful working relationships with members of the Front Office.

- Ability to work with diverse populations and have a demonstrated commitment to social justice.
- Ability to walk, sit or stand for an entire shift.
- Ability to work extended days and hours, including holidays and weekends.
- Ability to move throughout all areas and levels of the Ballpark.
- Ability to work in a diverse and changing environment.
- Occasional physical activity such as lifting and carrying items in excess of 25 lbs.
