Today, we serve millions of customers across multiple products including lending, deposits, financial tools, and our partnership with Apple on Apple Card. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The Marcus by Goldman Sachs team is seeking a consumer-centric, analytically-minded, creative and energetic Associate to join the Digital Storefront Analytics team. In this role youll apply your consumer financial services industry experience and digital analytical skill sets to drive analytics strategy, data infrastructure, model development and analysis to increase growth, adoption and engagement of our digital products and personal financial management tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze clickstream and customer data to gain an in-depth understanding of customers digital footprint and behaviors. Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to understand customer needs. Partner cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and vendors to drive commercial impact for the business by creating best in class customer experiences that foster customer engagement, multi-product adoption and retention on site and in mobile apps.
  • Develop the measurement framework and dashboards to track the success of our digital experiences and personal financial management tools, monitoring and improving KPIs and operational performance metrics and researching business and industry trends to set benchmarks.
  • Perform advanced analytics and provide subject matter expertise on consumer financial behavior; net worth, spending, saving, investing, retirement savings, lending, multi-product adoption, retention etc. to drive customer engagement and stronger customer relationships with the Marcus brand and products
  • Develop the customer segmentation and framework to measure the lifetime value of customers engaging with various digital and financial products
  • Assist with the evaluation and monitoring of A/B tests as part of our test and learn strategies to continue improving and deliver a best in class digital customer experience through our website and mobile apps. Must possess the ability to demonstrate statistical significance testing
  • Develop automated reporting/measurement, advanced tools and models to gain customer insights, draw conclusions and work with business partners, product managers and engineers to put those insights into action
  • Work closely with business partners, technology and data engineering teams to evaluate new and alternate data sources as well as analytical tools

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with analytics, metrics and reporting in the financial services industry; consumer banking
  • Bachelor or Advance degree in quantitative areas like Applied Math, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills and experience in working with large data sets and Big Data tools and stack (e.g., SQL, Snowflake, Hadoop, etc.).
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI or similar data visualization tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with one or more modeling tools (R, Matlab, Octave, SPSS, SAS) and one or more mainstream programming language (Python, Java, C, Scala, C++, etc.)
  • Prior experience developing data driven strategies in a consumer business or with B2C marketing analytics
  • Strong project management skills; self-driven; ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results highlighting the broader commercial and strategic impact
  • Competitive spirit with the ability to lead, motivate, and build relationships with internal stakeholders
