I.K Hofmann is looking for a skilled Data Entry for an international freight forwarding and cargo logistics firm offering tailored solutions to each customer. With 39 offices in 17 countries and hundreds of vetted global agents, our expert teams are dedicated to working closely with clients to meet all ocean, air, rail, inland transportation and turnkey project needs.We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining accurate data in our systems and databases. This role requires fast typing skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently. 

Job Description

• Enter data accurately and efficiently into databases and systems

• Verify data for accuracy and completeness

• Update and maintain information on company databases and systems

• Review data for errors, correct any incompatibilities, and check output

• Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations, and perform backups as needed

• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Respond to requests for information and access relevant files

• Perform regular quality checks to ensure data integrity

• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Essential functions:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. 
• Occasionally move about inside the office to access invoices, office machinery, etc.
• Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a computer, calculator, copier, and printer.
• Ability to work with demanding deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Must be detail oriented, thorough and accurate. Must have proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks, must be organized
• Work effectively via phone, fax, e-mail. Good planning and organization skills; ability to multitask and be a self-starter

Work Environment:

• Office Setting - Working with others
• Occasionally work in extremely bright or dim lighting conditions.

Requirements:

• Education: GED/High School desired Experience
• Solid knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities and ocean ports along with basic knowledge of U.S. Regulatory Laws

Shift hours & Payrate:

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

Payrate $17- $18 an hour
