As a Driver at HFA, you will use company trucks to travel between customer accounts and safely delivery and pick up perishable products including invoice adjustments or credits. The ideal candidate is someone who is a team player and passionate about providing great customer satisfaction.
*Must maintain a valid Driver’s License, PUC Medical Certificate, and clean driving record.*
*Starting at 5:30am *
*THE OPPORTUNITY*
* Handle product, verify count, invoicing, and resolve discrepancies.
* Safely practice driving, operation of delivery trucks, and appropriate methods for lifting and loading product, supplies and equipment.
* Deliver perishable food products to customer accounts.
* Utilize lift gates, two wheeled trucks and/or pallet jacks.
* Participate in periodic and annual staff training in food safety, employee safety and operational programs.
* Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and report preventative maintenance.
* Comply with all applicable OSHA regulations and commercial driving requirements as per DOT.
* Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
*REQUIREMENTS*
* Valid Class B CDL License
* Complete PUC medical requirements
* Clean and verifiable driving history
* Flexibility to work various schedules a must
* Knowledge of local and heavy weight routes around Maui
* Experience driving 26-foot straight truck
* Experience working in tight spaces
* Ability to communicate effectively with management, customers, port representatives
