Job Description
JOB PURPOSE:
The Dental Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dental clinic, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and managing the staff, budget, and inventory of the dental department.
Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to:

2. Practice Management
· Oversee and monitor the daily workflow and schedules of the dental staff, including hygienists, assistants, and receptionists.
· Develop and execute plans to improve daily operations of the Dental Clinic ensuring maximum
productivity, operational excellence & efficiency
· Develop and implement policies and procedures for the dental clinic, in accordance with the FQHC's mission, vision, and values.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and other federal, state, and local regulations and standards.
· Manage dental production, schedule management, monitor expenses, and prepare reports in collaboration with Dental Director
· Establishes parameters and assures implementation of patient scheduling procedures to meet goals
· Maintain and order dental supplies, equipment, and inventory, and ensure proper maintenance and calibration of dental instruments.
· Schedule and confirm appointments, verify insurance eligibility, and collect payments from patients.
· Handle patient complaints, concerns, and feedback, and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
· Coordinate with other departments and external partners, such as medical, behavioral health, pharmacy, laboratory, and referral agencies, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for the patients of the FQHC.
· Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education programs.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the FQHC director or dental director.
Required Education:
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene, dental assisting, or related field.
Skills, Licensure, and Knowledge Requirements
· Minimum of three years of experience in dental practice management, preferably in a FQHC or community health center setting.
· Current certification or license in dental hygiene, dental assisting, or related field, as required by state law.
· Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and coding.
