Your New Role :

As the Director of Program Management for AI within ContentLab, you will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing the coordination, execution, and strategic direction of AI initiatives. You will ensure the successful integration of AI technologies across Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) by managing partnerships with vendors, mitigating AI risks, and delivering real-world value through cutting-edge AI solutions. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, technical understanding, and leadership capabilities to drive innovation at the intersection of AI and creative industries.

You will oversee the entire portfolio of AI lab projects, from proof-of-concept (POC) developments to production-grade solutions, ensuring they meet the needs of internal clients and stakeholders across News, Sports, Entertainment, Marketing, and Advertising. This includes coordinating vendor demos, managing lab POCs, and working closely with legal, security, and compliance teams to ensure AI risk management and successful project execution.

You will lead a team of program managers who partner with creative users to pioneer new AI-driven solutions, fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation at WBD.

Your Role Accountabilities:

  • Provide overarching leadership and strategic direction for AI projects within ContentLab, ensuring that all initiatives align with WBD’s business goals and deliver value to creative and technical teams.

  • Build and maintain relationships with external AI technology vendors. Oversee the coordination of vendor demos and evaluations to ensure alignment with WBD’s creative and technical requirements. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance.

  • Oversee the portfolio of AI lab projects, ensuring successful execution from POC stages to full-scale implementations. Manage resources, timelines, and project deliverables while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

  • Collaborate with legal, security, and compliance teams to mitigate AI-related risks, ensuring adherence to data privacy, intellectual property, and ethical AI practices. Proactively manage potential risks associated with AI adoption and integration.

  • Work closely with stakeholders across News, Sports, Entertainment, Marketing, and Advertising to ensure the successful adoption of AI solutions. Align AI initiatives with business needs, driving real-world applications and measurable impact.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team, ensuring AI-driven solutions meet the creative and technical goals of the organization.

  • Regularly report on project progress, portfolio outcomes, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership and stakeholders. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to influence decision-making and drive AI innovation across the company.

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • 10+ years experience in program/project management in AI or technology

  • Experience with AI-driven solutions

  • Strong understanding of AI risks and compliance

  • Familiarity with legal and security aspects of AI

  • Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ability to navigate change and drive value within a dynamic and ever changing organizational environment

Preferred Experience:

  • 4 year degree in related field.

  • Experience and/or certifications with formal SDLC (e.g. Agile/Scrum) and Project Management (e.g. PMI) practices

  • Background in media or entertainment industry
