This includes experience with publishing pathways in an enterprise environment, requiring high scalability and performance. Description: This position will conduct technology evaluation and recommendations, mentor developers through hands-on assistance as well as formal and informal training, and engage in technical development. Work with business and development teams to identify, design, and develop technical architecture solution components. As a technical leader, the job requires a pragmatic visionary who can translate business needs into workable technology solutions that scale both technically and operationally while raising engineering and operational standards. This position will also be responsible for application performance, including modeling, measuring/profiling, and tuning. Primary Job Duties: Senior-level research, design, and development of computer software systems. Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Provide design recommendations and options, develop and integrate programs per specifications. Assist in researching and adopting new and emerging technologies, evaluating new tools, technologies, and platforms for inclusion in projects. Define the scope of multiple complex projects. Estimate effort required for own work and check and agree on other team members' estimates. Accountable for planning work assigned to their team, including work breakdown, accurate estimates, and identification of possible solution options. Present status updates for various projects to project management and senior managers. Ensure self and team develop modules using disciplined processes, adhering to industry standards and best practice guidelines. Work with vendors to understand technology and perform technical due diligence on third-party technology delivery. Provide technical guidance to team members.
