Job Summary

As a Journeyman Electrician with IMSCO Technical, you will install, repair, and service conduit, wiring, and equipment in an industrial environment. You will report to the Electrical Service Manager.

Electricians use a variety of hand and power tools to perform tasks, including voltmeters, ammeters, scanners, and tester. Must be able to perform the following duties listed below but not limited to:

  • Understand and apply blueprints and technical drawings
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuitry and equipment
  • Use hand and power tools proficiently
  • Interpret reading on including ammeters, meggers, and ground meters
  • Direct one or more apprentices on-site
  • Make customer satisfaction and job execution top priorities
  • Apply and adhere to the NEC and applicable State and local codes

Qualifications:

  • You must possess a valid Texas Journeyman Electrician license
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to identify wires accurately
  • Ability to perform electrical tests, interpret meter results and diagnose and repair problems
  • Circuitry knowledge
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Good time management
  • Minimum 3-5 years electrical industry experience
  • Ability to operate powder-actuated tools, work from ladders and lifts and be able to stand or crouch for extended periods and be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to pass a background check
