Job Title : Electronic Assembler & SMT Operator (Multiple Openings - Various Locations)

Location : Shakopee, MN, Monticello, MN, Stillwater, MN, Anoka, MN, Chaska, MN, Stacy, MN

Salary : $16 - $27/hr DOE

Shift : Variety of shifts available

Job Type : Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire (480-hour probationary period for some roles)

Job Description :

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Electronic Assemblers , SMT Operators , and Production Technicians to join our dynamic teams in various locations across the Twin Cities area. These roles involve working with electronic components and devices, operating specialized machinery, and performing hands-on assembly and soldering. If you have experience in PCB assembly, SMT operations, hand soldering, or related fields, we want to hear from you!

Positions Available:

• Electronic Assembler (PCB)
• SMT Operator
• Test Technician
• Production Technician (Through-Hole Soldering & Electronics)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and test custom electronic parts, systems, and assemblies, including circuit boards, switches, relays, transistors, etc.
• Operate SMT machines (MyData MY9, MY9E) and solder screen print machines for PCB assembly.
• Perform hand soldering of small components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).
• Inspect and ensure solder joints meet quality standards.
• Work with small hand tools and equipment, including soldering irons and rework stations.
• Assemble electronic components with precision and attention to detail.
• Troubleshoot non-conforming products down to the component level.
• Follow instructions, blueprints, and schematics for assembly.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure high standards are met.
• Perform maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience with through-hole and/or surface-mount soldering techniques.
• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferred (or willingness to be trained).
• Experience with SMT operations (MyData MY9, MY9E, Ekra machines).
• Strong hand-eye coordination, vision, and manual dexterity to handle small components.
• Ability to use hand tools and operate electronic assembly machines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage repetitive tasks.
• Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Comfortable working with small components under a microscope (if necessary).
• Must be a US Citizen (due to working with government contracts).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (in some roles).
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Must have 20/20 corrected vision, including color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
