Our client is a Legal firm looking for a Family Law Attorney to join the team on a direct hire, full time basis.
Responsibilities:
Serve as lead attorney (first chair) in custody and child support trials.
Handle a full caseload of family law matters, including divorce, property division, and spousal support.
Conduct legal research, draft motions, pleadings, and trial briefs.
Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediations.
Develop strong litigation strategies and effectively advocate in negotiations and trial settings.
Guide clients through highly emotional and sensitive legal matters with professionalism and compassion.
Work collaboratively with paralegals and other attorneys to ensure case efficiency and top-quality representation.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in [State] and in good standing with the state bar.
Trial experience as first-chair or lead attorney in custody and/or child support cases is required.
Experience in equitable distribution and alimony cases is strongly preferred, though not required.
Additional experience with Termination of Parental Rights, Stepparent Adoptions, and Abuse/Neglect/Dependency cases is a plus.
Strong litigation, negotiation, and trial advocacy skills.
Ability to manage cases independently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Excellent client communication and counseling skills to help clients navigate difficult family law disputes.
