Fine Jewelry Retail Sales Manager, PALO ALTO, CA

DE NOVO is a fine jewelry contemporary gallery in downtown Palo Alto. We’re looking for a self-starter who is bright and motivated to work with clients to develop client relations, deliver high quality service, and facilitate back office retail operations. Job hours are from 10am to 6:30 pm Tuesday through Saturday and additional hours are required for special events. THE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver a positive shopping experience, high level of customer service, and go above and beyond through entire selling process
• Maintain an active, accurate and organized client book, contacting clients regularly on new product, trunk shows, and special occasions
• Provide appropriate follow-up on all sales or client requests within 24 hours
• Foster open and constructive communication to ensure a consistent exceptional experience and contribute to a positive working environment
• Conduct necessary inventory reconciliation, inventory entry, and administrative tasks
• Adapt to change and manage multiple tasks at once
• Share product knowledge and brand story to customers for each product
• Utilize new technology, POS systems, and tools to efficiently manage tasks and improve work flow
• Daily set up and breakdown of product in the store
• Critically think through problems and find effective solutions to ensure meet clients’ needs
• Communicate with vendors and production team regularly to deliver the right product
• Determine merchandising strategies for displays
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketing and inventory to execute web updates
• Follow projects and special order timelines closely to ensure product is delivered on time and accurately to client
• Create robust wishlists for clients and offer suggestions that meets their needs
• Assist team to fulfill online orders and shipping
• Execute custom design projects with the help of CAD specialists or working with the designers.

• Possess exemplary customer service in person, through email, text, or phone
• Digitally savvy
• Knows how to use the Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Google Suite, Shopify, Wordpress, Canva
• Bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising, business or related field perferred
