About the RoleAs Gym Manager, you'll play a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence and cultivating an empowering team culture. You'll collaborate with assistant managers, shift leads, and cross-department partners to deliver exceptional service and ensure a seamless daily workflow. This role is ideal for a seasoned manager with a strong customer service ethic, proven leadership skills, and a passion for community engagement.
What You'll DoLead day-to-day gym operations with a hands-on approach that fosters teamwork, safety, and efficiency.
Champion an outstanding member and guest experience by modeling exceptional customer service.
Manage scheduling, staffing plans, and talent development-including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance feedback.
Collaborate across departments (events, retail, café, amenities, programs, etc.) to ensure strategic alignment and operational success.
Facilitate feedback loops with members and staff to improve service and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Support maintenance and risk management efforts, ensuring our facility is safe, welcoming, and well-maintained.
Contribute to strategic planning efforts that align with company goals and values.
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of professional experience, including 4+ in customer service or hospitality.
Minimum of 2 years of experience leading and managing a team.
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook); knowledge of Rock Gym Pro is a plus.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Current First Aid/CPR and Utah Alcohol certifications (or willingness to obtain).
