Hospital Phlebotomy Technician

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of venipuncture techniques and laboratory procedures.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.

Duties:

• Perform routine blood collection via venipuncture and microsampling.
• Process specimens and prepare them for laboratory testing.
• Conduct glucose tolerance tests and other specialized collections.
• Maintain patient records and accurately enter data into the Laboratory Information System.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols.
• Assist with supply management and maintain a clean workspace.
