The Hillsboro Club is looking for an experienced Housekeeping Manager to support and oversee all aspects of the housekeeping department. This position will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of housekeeping staff and work closely with other departments to maintain high standards or cleanliness and member satisfaction. We are looking for someone with supervisory experience in hospitality, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the drive to contribute to the continued success of our luxury property.

The Club operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.

This is a full-time salaried position offering a competitive compensation annual salary, commensurate with experience, paid on a biweekly basis. In addition to competitive pay, our employees also have access to health insurance, and opportunities for advancement within the company.

General Requirements

  • Lead, hire, and train hotel housekeeping staff to adhere to our high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Schedule staff and organize replacements as needed.
  • Monitor/Supervise all the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas daily.
  • Inspecting rooms to ensure that company standards of cleanliness are met.
  • Take inventory, write orders and ensure there is a stock of adequate cleaning supplies.
  • Document areas cleaned by room attendants and report any issues such as room damage or maintenance requests.
  • Perform daily housekeeping cleaning duties as part of the housekeeping team as need it.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and make arrangements for repairs as needed.
  • Ability to operate electric housekeeping cart safely.
  • This position involves being outside as you move from building to building and some physical labor; Hillsboro Club housekeepers need to possess the ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time. Additionally, housekeepers often need to move, carry, push, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • You might act as duty manager as need it.
  • Maintain a cost control system for supplies, linen and cleaning supplies for efficient operation of the club.
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college or hospitality related education preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
