The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and cleanliness of all areas within the hotel. This includes guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and exterior spaces. The Housekeeping Manager ensures that the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained, and that guests have a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of housekeeping staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas on a regular basis to ensure cleanliness standards are met
  • Coordinate with other departments to address any maintenance or repair issues
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures
  • Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Handle guest complaints or requests related to housekeeping
  • Prepare and manage housekeeping budget

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a housekeeping role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and products
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff and guests
  • Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
