The HVAC Truck Based Data Center Chiller Serviceman at Johnson Controls Inc. is responsible for supporting Data Center customers across North America by providing high-level commissioning and aftermarket services. This entry-level position requires technicians to have experience with air cooled chillers and rooftop units, and to engage in ongoing training for skill development. With a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and customer satisfaction, the role involves significant travel and the opportunity for further career advancement.

We are looking for entry level skilled HVAC Technicians who have experience with air cooled chillers or large roof top ducted units to support the growing data center market. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related items. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of commissioning and aftermarket service. Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently to include upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

What we look for  

Required

• Be a vital member of a new North America Data Center team responsible for entry level startup, commissioning, and aftermarket services for this fast-growing business.
• Must be a member or willing to join a local Union.
• Minimum of 1 year of practical working experience on air cooled or large roof top ducted units with some HVAC/ mechanical troubleshooting experience. 
• Travel 50% to 60% within North America to support Data Center Customers startup and commissioning activities as well as aftermarket service trouble shooting.
• You may be required to pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies. 
• Willing to invest in career development. You will enroll in training programs to gain knowledge in HVAC products supporting the Data Center Market.
• You will work with local market technicians.
• Attention to detail through interpersonal, digital, and written skills.
• Self-starter with a passion/ desire to learn and apply on the job.
• Prioritize safety in all forms.
• Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, good driving record and valid driver's license.
