Import/Export Coordinator

An Import/Export Coordinator at Doble Engineering will support import and export operations, including shipment logistics, documentation, and customer service. This role will conduct audits to verify accuracy. In addition, this position will coordinate and communicate with customers, vendors, and shipping companies to maintain process flows and resolve issues. This role will be based at Doble's Accident, Maryland facility and will report to the International Shipping Manager.

Essential Job Functions

• Organize air and ocean shipments from point of origin to the final destination.
• Organizing domestic shipments.
• Support Sales with shipping quotes for both domestic and international shipments.
• Prepare and process import and export documentation according to U.S customs regulations while ensuring 100% compliance for all products imported and exported.
• Manage and maintain an organized recordkeeping system for import and export transactions.
• Screen export orders for compliance with U.S. Government denied party listings.
• Serve as day-to-day liaison with custom brokers and other external partners to resolve clearance and other issues.
• Maintain global import/export Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications, ECCN numbers and country of origin information.
• Review all AES transmissions for accuracy.
• Effective communication with customers, vendors, and co-workers through a high volume of e-mails, phone calls and verbal contact.
• Be prepared to learn all aspects of the team's work with desire and ability to provide cover and assistance on a regular basis.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Qualifications

Education: Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree preferred

Required Experience: 3-5 years of relevant work experience in import/export environment

• Knowledge of Incoterms

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of ERP systems

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds. Must use assistance when lifting 50 or more pounds.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience. Hourly Pay Range Minimum $25.89 - Midpoint $32.36
