Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute a wide range of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, biryanis, tandoori specialties, and traditional appetizers, in line with established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Apply traditional Indian cooking techniques such as roasting, braising, grilling, and simmering to deliver rich, authentic flavors.
  • Ensure precise adherence to standardized recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Monitor ingredient inventory and usage to reduce waste and optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Operate efficiently across multiple kitchen stations in a high-pressure, high-volume production environment.
  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized workstation in compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Follow all food safety protocols as outlined in the company’s Food Safety Management System (FSMS).
  • Promptly report any concerns related to food safety, equipment, or kitchen operations to the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
  • Assist with daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food preparation, and support tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a professional cook specializing in Indian cuisine, preferably in a high-volume or fine dining environment.
  • Formal culinary training or certification is preferred but not required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian ingredients, regional cooking styles, and spice profiles.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to culinary excellence and consistency.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email communication, to support kitchen coordination and administrative tasks.
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and work in a hot, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business demands.
