Job Description

The Security Engineer is a key member of the InfoSec Team responsible for performing technical activities to ensure effective host, network, data, and application security services. This position will have primary responsibility for maintaining and securing security platforms in both the production and development environments. The Security Engineer's responsibilities include security system deployments, configuration, monitoring, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Security system deployments, configuration, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Performing vulnerability assessments, security testing, and working with operations and development teams on remediation and mitigation of findings.
  • Participating as a member of the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT).
  • Assisting with Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations Planning.
  • Providing support to planning, designing, and implementing security controls which safeguard and monitor events for information systems, enterprise applications, and data.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Security Engineering , with hands-on experience creating security policies and profiles (such as URL filtering) on Palo Alto Firewalls .
  • Solid experience with Incident Response , including participation in CSIRT.
  • Proficiency in working with an XDR tool (Examples: CrowdStrike Falcon Insight XDR, Sophos Intercept X, SentinelOne Singularity ). Preferred experience: Palo Alto Cortex XDR .
  • Experience with Proofpoint Enterprise products .
  • Experience in Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS/IPS) .
  • Familiarity with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools .
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security , or a related field.
  • Security certification(s): Any security certification such as CC, or certifications from CompTIA (Security+, CySA+, CASP+), ISC2 (CISSP, SSCP), GIAC (GSEC, GCIA, GCIH), SANS, or equivalent.
