We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician with strong sterile compounding and TPN experience to join a specialty compounding pharmacy in Elk Grove, CA. This facility focuses exclusively on preparing and shipping TPNs nationwide, offering a unique and rewarding setting for skilled technicians.
Position Details:
Location: Elk Grove, CA (Sacramento area)
Start: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks, with potential for contract-to-hire
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM (flexibility required for later start/end times as operations expand)
Responsibilities:
Perform sterile compounding of TPNs in compliance with USP <797>/<800> standards
Ensure accuracy and sterility of all compounded preparations
Maintain a cleanroom environment and follow all established procedures for aseptic technique
Work collaboratively with pharmacists and other team members to meet patient needs
Support inventory control and documentation requirements
Qualifications:
Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
PTCB certification highly preferred
Proven experience with IV compounding and TPNs (required)
Prior experience with CPR+ software strongly preferred
Ability to follow sterile compounding protocols with high attention to detail
