Job Description

Our client, an Industrial leader, is seeking a Janitorial Team Member to join their team. As a Janitorial Team Member, you will be part of the cleaning team supporting a safe and clean working environment. The ideal candidate will have previous janitorial experience, strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Janitorial Team Member

Location: Traverse City, MI

Pay Range: $18 an hour
Shift - 1st - 6 am to 2:30 pm - Monday thru Friday

What's the Job?

• Maintain the general cleanliness and safety of the main facility, restrooms, and offices.
• Refill soaps and paper product dispensers in bathrooms and clean sinks and toilets.
• Wipe down and clean all tables, countertops, and kitchen appliances in the cafeteria.
• Empty trash containers and operate floor scrubbers on the shop floor.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure a clean and orderly work environment.

What's Needed?

• Proven working experience as a janitor.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to follow detailed oral or written instructions.
• Strong communication skills to interact courteously with team members and visitors.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing from 25 to 40 pounds.
• Ability to pass a drug screen, background check and a 7 year employment screening per the clients requirement
