Position Overview: The Junior Real Estate Analyst will support real estate decision-making and franchise development by conducting site analyses, managing documentation, and coordinating with franchisees on site selection processes. This role requires analytical, technical, and project management skills to ensure each new site aligns with the strategic goals of the organization.
Qualifications: Experience: - 1-3 years in real estate analysis, franchise development, or a related field, ideally within the restaurant or fast casual industry.
Technical Skills: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience with data analysis software (e.g., Kalibrate) and project management tools (e.g., Franconnect).
- Basic knowledge of Python scripting for process automation is a plus.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: - Strong analytical skills to interpret real estate metrics and financial data.
- Ability to develop actionable insights and present data concisely for effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Real Estate Site Selection & Analysis - Conduct detailed site analyses to support franchise real estate selection, ensuring each location aligns with corporate standards.
- Support franchisees in identifying potential sites, providing insights based on internal metrics and market dynamics.
- Collaborate with franchisees during market visits to share knowledge on identifying optimal development sites.
Documentation Review & Compliance - Review essential documentation, such as Letters of Intent and leases, to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and standards.
- Maintain and update OneDrive with relevant real estate documents to manage internal data effectively.
Data Analysis & Reporting - Use data analytics tools (e.g., Kalibrate) to conduct territory and site assessments, generating reports to aid strategic decisions.
- Create economic and financial analysis reports on real estate deals and franchise locations to support the decision-making process.
Project Management & Coordination - Coordinate and lead weekly calls with franchisees to track real estate site selection progress.
- Utilize project management platforms like Franconnect to guide franchisees through real estate processes, ensuring consistency and transparency.
- Assist with franchise documentation, franchise disclosure documents (FDD), and support ad hoc requests for executive and development teams.
Technical Proficiency & Tool Utilization - Proficiently use Microsoft Office, particularly Powerbi and Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations.
- Employ Google Earth Pro for tracking and updating franchise territories, ensuring accurate records of territory allocations.
- Develop basic Python scripts to automate recurring tasks and streamline internal processes, enhancing efficiency.
Collaboration with Internal Teams - Work closely with the Construction Department, providing analyses to support value engineering and cost-effective project completion.
- Coordinate with the executive committee on various projects, responding to ad hoc analytical requests with efficient, data-driven solutions.
Effective Communication & Presentation - Prepare and deliver presentations for proposed site submittals, effectively summarizing analyses, and recommendations for decision-makers.
- Communicate analytical findings verbally to the Director and Chief Development Officer, fostering informed discussions and strategic feedback.
Commute: Corporate office is relocating to Garden City NY, 11530 in December, and all applicants must have reliable commute. Current office is in Woodside, Queens.
