Job Description

ROLE:

The Junior Designer will be expected to assist with project management, sourcing & tracking, client presentations, design development and design drawings. The ability to demonstrate a high level of professional maturity, self-motivate and work directly with lead designer. The Junior Designer will be responsible for ensuring a smooth design process, a well-run project and delivery of all design projects.

This position is well-suited for an extremely organized, hardworking, articulate, logical and focused individual. The ability to self-manage time and tasks is required for this position. Client and vendor relations are vital to the success of well-managed projects along with a creative mind.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Be comfortable working across a range of multiple projects at any one time

· Prepare client presentations with concept imagery, selections, and drawings

· Project tracking: purchase orders and purchasing process

· Aid in preparing presentations related to lighting, window treatments, rugs, accessories, and organize schedules and binders to be handed off to the General Contractor

• Develop and maintain good relationships with vendors and external subs

· Respond to project communications in a timely fashion

· Research new products and materials

· Project management & organization - detail oriented, organized, self-starter

· A combination of in office and on-site responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Degree in interior design, design school or equivalent experience

• 2-3 years experience

· Proficiency in Sketch-Up, Revit, InDesign or AutoCAD software

· Ability to work on Mac

· Personable, strong work ethic and values

· Goal oriented, creative mind
