  • Role Summary : Supports the design lead in developing innovative and trend-forward products. Assists in prototyping, sample reviews, and design iterations, while contributing to market research efforts.

  • Job Summary : The Junior Product Designer is a dynamic and creative role essential to the development of innovative and high-quality tile and stone products. This position combines artistic creativity with strategic market research, allowing designers to impact the product line directly. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about design, trends, and collaboration within a team environment.
Compensation:

$26 - $32 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to product design and development efforts with a focus on creativity and innovation.
  • Create detailed sketches, prototypes, and product mock-ups to refine design concepts.
  • Collaborate with vendors and factories to review samples and ensure product quality.
  • Conduct and analyze market research on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback.
  • Stay informed on the latest design trends through trade magazines, influencers, vendor communications, and customer insights.
  • Participate in quarterly feedback sessions with regional managers, branch managers, and salespeople.
  • Maintain organized documentation for all design-related projects and sample reviews.
  • Support the Product Design & Development Lead in executing the creative vision for new product launches.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in product design or a related role, preferably in tile, stone, or similar industries.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, or other relevant tools.
  • Strong creativity and an eye for detail, color, and trends in the interior, exterior, commercial, and residential designer space.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
