Description: We are currently seeking a Junior Product Designer who will design, and document custom furniture, lighting, and accessories aligned with the Workshop/APD brand. They will develop and execute product design with Workshop/APD vision for all projects and collaborations. Please note this is not a UI/UX position. Duties/Responsibilities: Design custom furniture and fixtures for high end residential projects and hospitality projects under the guidance of senior designers. Creating sketches, 3D models, renderings, fabrication drawings to bring designs to full scale realization. Work closely with interior designers and architects to understand the narrative, aesthetics, scope and constraints of each project that need custom furniture. Review manufacturer shop drawings, comment, and approve as required. Coordinate with vendors/manufacturers, aligning with the project teams installation schedule. Assist in the new product development process for Workshop Collection, Workshop/APD's to-the-trade furniture line. Assist in designing products for brand partners where Workshop/APD collaborates with leading manufacturers across industries including furniture, lighting, rugs, wallcovering, plumbing, and more. Qualifications: Talented designer with significant technical ability Self-motivated to produce excellent work. Passion for architecture and interior design. Acute attention to details. Ability to accept directions and work well in a team. Requirements: Degree in Industrial design, Furniture Design or similar programs. 1-2 years of experience in furniture design industry.
